Secondary School Programs

As students approach their senior years of secondary school the pressure to perform well in exams increases and adds to the stresses of adolescence.

Kip McGrath Education Centres secondary programmes are designed to give secondary school students the motviation and confidence to achieve their full potential at this time. We offer a broad spectrum of courses from Kip Maths Expert, English as a Second Language to Study Skills and Essay Writing. For those who want to push themselves harder we also offer extension courses such as Intelligence Development.

We encourage students to feel confident about their progress and work through the programme at their own pace. They are never overwhelmed and learning becomes fun, with improvement coming naturally as concepts are explained, revised and practised.

You will find a programme that matches the needs of your teenager from our programmes, we offer our core accererated learning programmes as well as extension programmes for specific development for your child.

KipMaths&English™

Core programmes include;

Maths tutoring

The Maths tutoring programme is designed for students who are having difficulty with Maths in any year. After a free initial assessment our programmes will be customised to meet the student's individual needs. The assessment provides a starting point from which to measure progress and success. Students gain confidence working at their own pace with a combination of face to face teaching and computer drills to re-inforce new concepts.

Progress is consolidated with weekly homework and regular feedback ensures that parents are kept up to date with their child's achievements.

English tutoring

The English tutoring programme is designed for students to develop their skills in reading, comprehension, grammar, writing and spelling in any year. As with the Mathematics programme we offer a free initial assessment to understand the student's individual level and to provide a starting point on which to measure progress.

 Again progress is monitored through weekly homework and feedback is regualrly given to parents.

English as a Second Language

This programme is designed as a 25 lesson course and is designed to assist those students who do not speak English as their first language. It will help them keep pace with their schoolwork and also improve their communication skills.

 The course extends the student's knowledge of both written and spoken English. It covers vocabulary, basic grammar, speaking, reading and writing. Computer activities combined with worksheets allow students to progress at their own pace and learning is consolidated with weekly homework.

The course also includes an oral component. Students are encouraged to speak out aloud to strengthen their pronunciation.
